Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in integrating security practices into every phase of the software development lifecycle, ensuring our applications and infrastructure are secure by design. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to build robust, scalable, and secure solutions for our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security tools and processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) and integrate it into development workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities early in the SDLC.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure and application configurations.
• Develop and enforce security policies and standards across projects.
• Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on DevSecOps best practices.
• Monitor security events, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture and DevSecOps maturity.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, AZ-500, AWS Certified Security).
• Experience with specific security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
