Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Delivery Drivers to join our growing team in Sharjah, UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to establish a career in logistics with a globally recognized company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packages to various locations within Sharjah and surrounding areas, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to all traffic regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to deliver packages and documents to designated addresses within specified timeframes.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery manifests and packages against invoices.
- Collect payments from customers for cash-on-delivery shipments when required.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Ensure the proper handling and security of all packages to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately and legibly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service teams regarding delivery status or issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE driving license (light vehicle or heavy vehicle as applicable)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Sharjah road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness to lift and carry packages of varying weights
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with a logistics or courier company
- Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications
