Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and professional Delivery Drivers to join our growing team in Sharjah, UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in logistics with a renowned international company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of various goods, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards. Visa sponsorship and accommodation will be provided for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to deliver packages to customers within designated routes in Sharjah and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Verify packages against delivery manifests and obtain customer signatures or confirmations as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties, sorting, and loading when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE Driving License (heavy vehicle license may be an advantage)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations in the UAE
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25 kg)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a logistics or courier company in the UAE
- Familiarity with Sharjah road networks and addresses
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
