Job Description

Aramex is seeking dedicated and reliable Delivery Drivers to join our growing team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of various goods to our valued customers, ensuring excellent service and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver packages to customers within designated routes in Sharjah and surrounding areas.
• Verify packages against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any customer interactions.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, strictly adhering to all UAE traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects, maintenance needs, or issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Aramex professionally.
• Handle cash and credit card payments accurately and securely if required for cash-on-delivery services.
• Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of goods.
• Assist with warehouse sorting and dispatch tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

• Valid UAE driving license for light vehicles (manual and automatic transmission).
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar logistics role.
• Familiarity with Sharjah roads, districts, and the ability to use navigation tools effectively.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and route planning skills.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) throughout a shift.
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and function effectively as part of a larger team.
• A clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working with a courier or a major logistics company.
• Multilingual abilities (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam) to better serve a diverse customer base.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting common issues.
• Familiarity with handheld delivery devices and mobile applications.
