Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to join our dynamic team in Spokane, WA. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure data architectures for various applications and services.
- Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data professionals.
- Support data migration and integration efforts for new systems and acquisitions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or database design.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Extensive experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies.
- Solid grasp of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with real-time data streaming and processing technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Prior experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices.
- Experience working in a global enterprise environment and with diverse teams.
