Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join our esteemed team in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will be instrumental in protecting our critical information systems and data from evolving cyber threats. You will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, and contribute to the development and implementation of robust security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, forensic investigations, and containment strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Provide security awareness training to employees and promote a culture of security
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into system development lifecycles
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
Required Skills
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security concepts
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensic analysis techniques
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC, or CISSP
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry
