Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service Advisor to join our team in Orlu. As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional support and resolving their inquiries efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will be instrumental in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding MTN’s reputation for excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Provide accurate information regarding MTN products and services.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively and with empathy.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Educate customers on self-service options and digital channels.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and data privacy.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other customer service tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High level of patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Basic computer literacy and typing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Fluency in Igbo or other local Nigerian languages.
  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in any related field.
  • Experience with sales or upselling in a customer-facing role.
