Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team in Downtown St. Louis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong analytical background and a passion for financial markets to contribute to our credit risk management efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of corporate and individual clients, preparing comprehensive credit reports, and supporting senior management in making informed lending decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of new and existing loan applicants, including corporations and individuals.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, industry trends, and economic conditions to assess credit risk.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations for senior management and credit committees.
• Monitor existing credit portfolios for potential risks and recommend appropriate actions.
• Collaborate with relationship managers and legal teams to structure loan agreements and ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and market developments impacting credit risk.
• Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk models and tools.
• Provide support for ad-hoc projects related to credit analysis and portfolio management.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related financial role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial ratios.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA with a concentration in Finance.
• CFA or FRM designation, or progress towards one.
• Experience with credit analysis software and financial modeling tools.
• Knowledge of specific industry sectors relevant to Wells Fargo's client base.
• Prior experience in a large commercial or investment bank.
