Job Description

As a Creative Copywriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping Zalando’s brand voice and communicating our unique story to millions of customers. Working closely with our marketing and brand teams, you will assist in developing compelling copy for a wide range of channels, including website content, marketing campaigns, social media, and email newsletters. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and detail-oriented individual to contribute to high-impact projects from a 100% remote setting, collaborating with a dynamic team across Europe. Your ability to craft engaging narratives and adapt your writing style to various audiences will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading high-quality copy for digital marketing campaigns, product descriptions, landing pages, and email communications.
• Ensure all copy aligns with Zalando's brand guidelines, tone of voice, and strategic objectives.
• Conduct research on fashion trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to inform content creation.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and impactful campaign execution.
• Support the content team in maintaining and organizing content libraries and style guides.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new campaigns and content initiatives.
• Review and optimize existing content for clarity, accuracy, and SEO performance.

Required Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native or near-native proficiency).
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy.
• Strong attention to detail and impeccable grammar and punctuation.
• Familiarity with digital marketing principles and content creation for various online channels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) or similar tools.
• A portfolio demonstrating creative writing samples (e.g., blog posts, social media content, marketing copy).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Experience in the e-commerce or fashion industry.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for content writing.
• Proficiency in German or other European languages is a plus.
• Experience with A/B testing copy.
