Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic legal team in San Francisco. This role is crucial in supporting our global operations by managing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, finance, product, and other internal teams to understand business objectives and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation to execution and renewal, utilizing contract management systems.
  • Identify potential risks and liabilities in contracts and propose solutions to mitigate them.
  • Maintain organized and accurate contract records and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing contract templates, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on contract processes and key terms.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, legal operations, or a similar role within a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial terms.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Experience working in the technology or SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with international contract law and cross-border transactions.
  • Experience with Salesforce products and ecosystem.
  • Certification in Contracts Management (e.g., CPCM).
