Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and ethically-minded Remote Content Reviewer to join our global team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content across Meta’s platforms, ensuring compliance with our community standards and policies. This is a vital position that directly contributes to maintaining a safe and positive online environment for billions of users worldwide. This position offers flexible shifts and is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within Lekki, Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content (text, images, videos) in various languages for adherence to Meta's Community Standards.
- Apply content policies consistently and accurately to a high volume of content.
- Identify and escalate complex or sensitive content issues to appropriate teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy guidelines.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve content moderation policies and tools.
- Adapt quickly to evolving content guidelines and policy updates.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of empathy and emotional resilience to handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
- Proficiency with various computer applications and internet tools.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in content moderation, online safety, or customer support roles.
- Familiarity with Meta's platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and their community standards.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex policies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Fluency in an additional Nigerian language (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
