Job Description
Meta Platforms is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist to join our global team. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure online environment for our users across various platforms. You will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, enforcing community standards, and making critical decisions to protect our platform from harmful or inappropriate material. This position requires strong judgment, resilience, and a commitment to upholding our values of trust and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content (e.g., text, images, videos) on Meta's platforms according to established guidelines and policies.
- Make timely and accurate decisions on content violations, including removal, flagging, or escalation.
- Identify and analyze emerging content trends and potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy, legal, and engineering, to improve content moderation processes and tools.
- Provide feedback on policy effectiveness and clarity to enhance user safety.
- Document and report on content moderation activities and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on policy changes and platform features.
Required Skills
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong understanding of online content moderation principles and challenges.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy guidelines consistently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle nuances in content.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Meta's platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and their community standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
