Job Description
EllisDon is seeking dedicated and hardworking Construction Site Laborers to join our dynamic team in Moncton, New Brunswick. This is an immediate start position for individuals ready to contribute to significant construction projects from day one. As a Construction Site Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled tradespeople and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks.
- Perform general site clean-up and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and perform other manual labor as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with site setup and dismantle activities.
- Support concrete pouring and finishing operations.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and some power tools.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience on a construction site.
- Knowledge of WHMIS and Fall Protection training.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
