Job Description

Graham Construction is seeking motivated and reliable Construction Site Laborers to join our team in Saskatoon. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to significant construction projects and work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. As a Site Laborer, you will perform a variety of crucial tasks that support the overall efficiency and progress of our construction sites, working closely with skilled tradespeople and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barricades.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations on site.
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment.
  • Support site logistics by moving materials to appropriate work areas.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of work zones.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must possess own steel-toed boots and basic personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience on a construction site.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • WHMIS certification.
