Job Description
PCL Construction is seeking dedicated and hardworking Construction Site Laborers to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the construction industry. As a Construction Site Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction activities, ensuring project efficiency and site safety. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and electricians with their tasks.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and potential hazards.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Dig trenches, shovel earth, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding, ramps, and barricades.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other construction-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor throughout the day.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
