Job Description
Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct construction projects from beginning to end, including managing schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Oversee all on-site and off-site construction activities and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors and manage their performance.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to senior management and clients.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related role.
- Proven experience managing complex construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures and quality assurance protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- PMP certification or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience with LEED certified projects or sustainable construction practices.
- Familiarity with local Milwaukee and Wisconsin building codes and regulations.
