Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Foreman to oversee on-site operations for our diverse projects in Fresno, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising work crews, ensuring project safety, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to project schedules and budgets. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction methods and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, including skilled trades and laborers.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily construction activities in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
• Monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance rigorously.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Identify and resolve construction issues, escalating complex problems to project management.
• Manage equipment and material inventories, ensuring efficient use and ordering when necessary.
• Maintain daily logs and prepare progress reports for project management.
• Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role in commercial or large-scale residential construction.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in specialized construction trades (e.g., carpentry, concrete, steel erection).
• Experience with Lean Construction principles.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a significant asset.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
