Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance (GRC) Analyst to join our dynamic team in Montreal, Quebec. This pivotal role involves ensuring the organization’s adherence to regulatory requirements, managing enterprise risks, and upholding strong governance practices across various business lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring GRC frameworks. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive GRC policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential compliance gaps, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Monitor global and local regulatory changes, ensuring timely adaptation and integration into existing compliance frameworks.
  • Prepare detailed compliance reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of engaging GRC training programs to enhance organizational awareness.
  • Investigate and resolve reported compliance issues, breaches, and incidents, recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments, including legal, IT, and operations, to embed GRC principles into daily business operations and projects.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworks relevant to the financial services or professional services sector.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with GRC software, tools, and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex GRC concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented structure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CCEP.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian regulatory landscape and provincial specific compliance requirements (e.g., AMF, OSFI).
  • Master's degree or other advanced professional qualification.
