Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Community Growth Assistant to join our remote team and help nurture and expand Buffer’s global community of users, advocates, and partners. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in engaging our audience across various platforms, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering meaningful connections. You’ll work closely with our marketing and product teams to amplify our brand message, gather insights, and ensure our community feels valued and supported. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Buffer's community across social media, forums, and other online platforms.
- Monitor community sentiment and identify emerging trends or topics relevant to our audience.
- Assist in developing and executing community engagement strategies to drive growth and retention.
- Support the creation and distribution of valuable content tailored for our community.
- Identify and nurture community advocates and influencers.
- Help organize and promote virtual events, webinars, or workshops for our community.
- Collect community feedback and relay insights to product, marketing, and support teams.
- Contribute to documentation and best practices for community management.
Required Skills
- 1+ year experience in community management, social media management, or marketing roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and online communities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Proactive, empathetic, and a strong problem-solver.
- Demonstrated passion for building and nurturing online relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM software.
- Experience in a SaaS or tech industry setting.
- Basic understanding of analytics and reporting on community engagement metrics.
