Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team in Omaha, Nebraska. This critical role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, and a passion for driving digital transformation. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure cloud architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices and new technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, deployments, and operational procedures.
- Ensure cloud solutions adhere to industry standards, compliance regulations, and security policies.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Participate in cost optimization, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives for cloud environments.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their potential impact and benefits to the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar leadership role.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Security, Monitoring).
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
