Job Description

As a Clinical Support Worker at Texas Health Resources, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within our hospital setting. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible support, contributing to a positive and efficient care environment. This position is integral to our patient-centered approach, providing essential assistance with daily patient needs and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output, and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
  • Aid in patient transport to various departments for tests or procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, including tidying rooms and restocking supplies.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Document care provided accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Respond to patient call lights promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutritional intake for patients.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or equivalent healthcare experience
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
