Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Research Intern to join our dynamic Clinical Research team in San Diego, CA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of genomics and clinical research. You will support ongoing studies, contribute to data management, and learn about regulatory processes, all while working alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing precision medicine. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, organization, and entry of clinical data into study databases.
  • Perform quality control checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects and study protocols.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of study documentation, including consent forms and regulatory binders.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on study progress and challenges.
  • Learn about and adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical research associates, data managers, and other team members.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a research lab setting or academic project.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or basic understanding of genomics.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) or database management systems.
  • Coursework in clinical trials, biostatistics, or epidemiology.
