Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our prestigious kitchen team in Manchester. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a specific kitchen section (e.g., Larder, Saucier, Grill) during service.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies for your section, minimizing waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with menu development and specials, contributing creative ideas.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and commis chefs.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are rigorously followed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume, quality restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to culinary excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
  • Experience working with fine dining or high-end brasserie concepts.
  • HACCP certification or similar food safety qualifications.
  • Fluency in English.
