As a Catering Assistant, you will be an integral part of our dynamic food and beverage team, responsible for the seamless setup, service, and breakdown of various catering events. Your primary goal will be to assist in providing high-quality service, maintaining presentation standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction through your professionalism and attentiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the comprehensive setup and elegant breakdown of catering events, including tables, chairs, linens, dishware, and decorations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests with grace and efficiency, adhering to service standards and special requests.
• Monitor and replenish buffet stations regularly, ensuring food presentation is impeccable and quantities are adequate.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas, ensuring all utensils, equipment, and presentation pieces are spotless.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff by assisting with basic food preparation tasks and ensuring timely delivery of culinary items.
• Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for guests and a compliant work environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service, anticipating guest needs and responding to inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Work harmoniously with the catering and event team to ensure all aspects of event execution run smoothly from start to finish.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall catering operations.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to thrive and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with guests and team members.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, walk distances, and lift and carry items up to 25 pounds, as required for event setup and service.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules.
• A basic understanding of food safety principles and hygienic practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Prior experience (at least 6 months) in a catering, hospitality, hotel, or food service role.
• Possession of a current Food Handler's Permit (or the ability to obtain one shortly after employment).
• Demonstrated experience in banquet or event setup procedures.
