Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Carpentry Apprentices. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a recognised qualification in carpentry while working on diverse and exciting construction projects across the Cardiff region. You will learn from experienced tradespeople, develop essential skills, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified carpenters with various tasks, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
- Learn to install and repair wooden structures, such as roofs, floors, walls, and doorframes.
- Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Develop proficiency in different carpentry techniques and materials.
- Participate in ongoing training and assessments as part of the apprenticeship programme.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in carpentry and the construction industry.
- Good practical skills and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (measurement, calculations).

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (grades 9-4/A*-C).
- Previous experience in a practical or hands-on environment.
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant vocational course.
- Valid UK driving license or actively working towards one.
