Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Spokane, Washington. This role is integral to our project delivery, requiring you to create precise technical drawings and plans that translate complex engineering and architectural concepts into actionable designs. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers, ensuring all designs adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory codes. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates eager to contribute to significant infrastructure and design projects in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, schematics, and models for various projects across multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and design intent.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, project specifications, and local building codes.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project teams, client requirements, and design changes.
• Maintain accurate and organized drawing files, archives, and documentation within the project management system.
• Perform basic calculations and material take-offs for design purposes when required.
• Assist in project coordination efforts, including material selection and vendor communication.
• Participate in design meetings and contribute to problem-solving and optimization efforts.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other industry-standard CAD software.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry standards.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical specifications, and other engineering documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
• Relevant Associate's degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, or a related field.
• Demonstrated eligibility and readiness for visa sponsorship in the United States.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a CAD drafting role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Revit.
• Previous experience working on projects within the infrastructure, transportation, water, or architectural sectors.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous drafting work and technical drawing capabilities.
