Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Border Patrol Agents to join the UK Border Force team in Manchester. This pivotal role involves protecting our borders, ensuring national security, and facilitating the smooth passage of legitimate travellers and goods. You will be at the forefront of identifying and preventing illegal activities, including smuggling, human trafficking, and the entry of dangerous goods, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting immigration and customs checks on arriving and departing passengers and freight.
- Identifying and intercepting illegal immigrants, smuggled goods, and prohibited items.
- Operating advanced security equipment, including scanners and surveillance systems.
- Interviewing individuals and assessing risks to make informed decisions regarding entry to the UK.
- Collaborating with national and international law enforcement agencies.
- Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records of incidents and investigations.
- Responding to security incidents and enforcing immigration and customs laws.
- Providing excellent customer service to legitimate travellers while maintaining border security.
- Undertaking patrols and surveillance activities as required.
