Job Description
KF Aerospace is seeking a skilled and dedicated Avionics Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified international candidates, as visa sponsorship is available for the right individual. As an Avionics Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the airworthiness and operational reliability of various aircraft types. You will perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex avionics systems in accordance with regulatory standards and company procedures. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of flight operations, working on a diverse range of aircraft within our MRO facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, radar, and integrated systems.
- Conduct functional tests and inspections of avionics components and systems using specialized test equipment.
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other maintenance documentation.
- Complete all required documentation and logbook entries accurately and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with evolving avionics technologies.
Required Skills
- Completion of an accredited Avionics Maintenance Technician program or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in an MRO, airline, or military environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex avionics systems on various aircraft platforms.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., Transport Canada, FAA, EASA) and airworthiness directives.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain an Airport Restricted Area Pass.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with an E (Avionics) rating from Transport Canada or equivalent international certification.
- Experience with a variety of aircraft types, including commercial passenger and cargo aircraft.
- Familiarity with modern avionics test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Previous experience with visa sponsorship processes for relocation to Canada.
