Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Aviation Security Inspector to join our team in Bozeman, MT. This vital role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aviation security regulations and protocols at assigned airport facilities. The inspector will conduct thorough inspections, identify potential vulnerabilities, and enforce security measures to protect passengers, personnel, and property. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of security procedures, exceptional observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and unannounced inspections of airport facilities, personnel, and equipment to ensure compliance with federal and local aviation security regulations.
• Monitor security operations, including passenger screening, baggage screening, access control, and perimeter security.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues, and report findings accurately.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to security breaches or regulatory violations.
• Investigate security incidents, compile detailed reports, and collaborate with relevant authorities.
• Provide guidance and training to airport staff on security procedures and best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Liaise with airline representatives, airport management, TSA officials, and law enforcement agencies.
• Stay updated on evolving security threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of federal aviation security regulations (e.g., TSA directives)
• Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Proficiency in using security equipment and reporting software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
• Possession of a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Aviation Security Inspector or TSA officer
• Certifications in security management or related fields (e.g., CPP, PSP)
• Experience with risk assessment and threat analysis
• Bilingual abilities
