Job Description
Discount Tire in Fargo, ND, is seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Tire Fitter to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform tire installation, rotation, balancing, and repair services on a wide range of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections related to tires and wheels, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
- Operate essential equipment such as tire changers, balancers, and alignment machines safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, explaining services performed and answering questions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking tires and wheels.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in tire service or general automotive maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform strenuous tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of tire and wheel mechanics.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE certification in automotive service areas (e.g., A4 – Suspension and Steering).
- Experience with various tire brands and types.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
