Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assemblers to join our automotive manufacturing team in Vancouver. This is an immediate opening for individuals who are passionate about quality, efficiency, and working in a dynamic production environment. As an Automotive Production Assembler, you will be crucial in the assembly of various automotive components and systems, ensuring that all products meet Magna’s rigorous quality standards. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble automotive components and sub-assemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or production issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
