Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Tester to join our dynamic technology team in Wilmington, DE. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial applications through robust test automation frameworks. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and other QA engineers to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with software developers and product owners to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation test suites to adapt to new features and system changes.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with automated tests.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with database testing (SQL).
- Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
- Previous experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
