Job Description
We are seeking bright and ambitious individuals to join our Associate Product Manager (APM) Internship program in Pietermaritzburg. This 12-month internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in product development within the dynamic financial services industry. You will work alongside experienced Product Managers, contributing to the lifecycle of our digital products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Product Managers in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify new opportunities and inform product decisions.
- Support the development of product requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with design and engineering teams.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the testing and quality assurance of new product features.
- Monitor product performance metrics and assist in preparing reports.
- Help manage stakeholder communication and alignment across various departments.
- Learn to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable product specifications.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, product development, or financial services.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in a corporate or startup setting.
- Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles.
- Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
