Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced AI/ML models and algorithms.
- Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, research) to integrate AI solutions into various products and services.
- Optimize existing AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Mentor junior AI engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.
- Present findings and progress to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Python programming, along with relevant AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), and natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, pandas, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, Azure).
- Demonstrated experience in deploying AI models to production environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow).
- Publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences or journals.
- Experience in a specific domain relevant to Google's products (e.g., search, ads, cloud, autonomous systems).
