Job Description
As an Application Security Engineer at Adobe, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our cutting-edge products and platforms. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and security architects to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your expertise will help identify, analyze, and mitigate security vulnerabilities in complex web applications, APIs, and cloud-native services. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews of application architecture, design, and code, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and static/dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) on web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security requirements and best practices into the SDLC, from conception to deployment.
- Develop and implement security tooling, automation, and processes to enhance security posture and efficiency.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
- Provide expert guidance and training to developers on secure coding principles and emerging security threats.
- Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and attack vectors.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in application security, penetration testing, or software development with a strong security focus
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go)
- Deep understanding of web application security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques
- Experience with security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, SAST/DAST tools)
- Strong knowledge of secure SDLC principles and practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GWAPT
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Knowledge of cryptography and secure communication protocols
