Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Airport Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Munich. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations at the airport, particularly focusing on passenger and aircraft ground services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating various airport activities, maintaining stringent safety and quality standards, and contributing to an outstanding travel experience for our passengers. This position is ideal for professionals who are fluent in English and eager to work in a fast-paced, international environment where German language skills are not a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate daily airport ground operations, including aircraft turnaround, baggage handling, and passenger boarding/disembarking.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and international aviation standards.
• Liaise effectively with ground staff, airline crews, air traffic control, and airport authorities to resolve operational issues promptly.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports, logs, and documentation accurately.
• Respond to and manage operational disruptions, irregular operations, and emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
• Optimize resource allocation and scheduling for ground support equipment and personnel.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and service quality.

Required Skills

• Fluent in English (verbal and written); German language skills are not required for this role.
• Proven experience in airport operations, ground handling, or a related aviation field.
• Strong understanding of airport safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a multicultural team.
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and airport operational systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience with airline operational control (AOC) systems.
• Familiarity with IATA ground operations manuals (IGOM).
• Certification in aviation safety or ground handling procedures.
