Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Airport Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at Frankfurt Airport. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency, safety, and security of airport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of daily airport functions, ensuring compliance with international and national regulations, and contributing to a smooth operational flow. This position requires strong communication skills in English and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate daily airport activities, including airside and landside operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and environmental regulations and procedures.
- Respond to and manage operational incidents, emergencies, and irregular situations.
- Liaise with airlines, ground handling companies, air traffic control, and other airport stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections of airport facilities and infrastructure to identify potential issues.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, logs, and documentation.
- Participate in operational briefings and debriefings to facilitate effective communication.
- Implement operational plans and procedures to optimize airport performance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; German language skills are not required.
- Strong understanding of airport operational procedures and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using operational software and communication systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in airport operations, airline operations, or a similar aviation role.
- Knowledge of ICAO, EASA, and national aviation regulations.
- Certification in airport operational safety or security.
