Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, always upholding their dignity and privacy.
• Support residents with meal times, ensuring dietary needs are met, encouraging independence, and providing hydration.
• Monitor and accurately report changes in residents' health, well-being, or behaviour to senior staff, contributing to their care plans.
• Engage residents in social activities, promoting their mental and physical stimulation, and fostering a sense of community.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy environment for residents, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner, contributing to comprehensive resident records.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and care standards to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in a care-giving role (e.g., aged care, nursing assistant, home care) of at least one year.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care, demonstrating a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, showing initiative and reliability.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines and basic first aid in a care setting.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with residents and colleagues.
• Eligibility for UK Visa Sponsorship and a commitment to relocating.

Preferred Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience with dementia care or supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Certification in specific care techniques (e.g., moving and handling, medication administration).
• Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication within the care system.
