Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Actuary to join our dynamic team in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a unique opportunity for a talented actuarial professional who requires visa sponsorship to advance their career with a global leader. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing expert actuarial analysis, consulting, and solutions to our diverse portfolio of clients, primarily within the health, retirement, or property & casualty sectors. You will be instrumental in developing complex actuarial models, conducting detailed risk assessments, and delivering strategic insights that inform business decisions and drive value. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate complex actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial projections.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, assess risks, and quantify financial impacts.
- Prepare detailed actuarial reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide expert actuarial advice and consulting on a range of topics including product development, capital management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including consultants, underwriters, and data scientists.
- Ensure compliance with actuarial standards of practice, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Mentor junior actuarial staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent international designation.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive actuarial experience in health, life, P&C, or retirement consulting.
- Demonstrated experience in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, MG-ALFA) and strong Excel skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or VBA is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent international designation.
- Master's degree in a quantitative field.
- Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role.
