Position Overview
As an Entry Level Data Analyst, you will be a core member of our analytics team, supporting various projects that shape our business strategy. You will work closely with senior analysts to transform raw data into clear, compelling visualisations and reports. We are committed to your growth and will provide the mentorship and tools you need to develop into a skilled data professional.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Assist in developing and maintaining automated reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Support senior analysts in gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications for reporting.
- Contribute to projects focused on converting manual reporting processes into efficient, automated solutions.
- Write and optimise SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from our databases to answer key business questions.
- Help ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and analytics deliverables.
- Learn to manage project tasks and timelines effectively under the guidance of a project lead.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a data analysis role (relevant internships or extensive academic projects are highly valued).
- SQL Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of SQL and the ability to write queries to select, join, and filter data.
- Data Visualisation: Familiarity with a BI tool like Power BI, Tableau, or Microstrategy. Experience creating a basic dashboard is a significant plus.
- Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Bonus Points: Exposure to ETL concepts or tools like SSIS is a plus, but not required.
