Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Minister of Religion to lead our congregation, providing spiritual guidance, delivering engaging sermons, and nurturing our community. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and dedicated individual to serve our diverse church family and contribute to our mission. Key Responsibilities
- Lead weekly worship services, including preaching, sacrament administration, and pastoral prayers.
- Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to congregants during times of joy and sorrow.
- Oversee and participate in educational programs for all ages, including Sunday school, youth groups, and adult Bible studies.
- Engage in community outreach programs and interfaith initiatives to promote goodwill and service.
- Administer church operations in collaboration with the church board and staff, including budgeting, planning, and facility management.
- Officiate at special services such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and spiritual growth among all members.
- Mentor and support lay leadership in various church ministries and committees.
Required Skills
- Ordained Minister or equivalent credential within a recognized religious denomination.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pastoral leadership or ministry.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and inspiring sermons.
- Strong pastoral care and counseling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in theological study and scriptural interpretation.
- Commitment to community service and outreach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and congregants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent theological degree.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering intergenerational community.
- Background in program development and volunteer management.
- Demonstrated experience with visa sponsorship processes or international ministry.
