Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Part-Time Retail Store Cleaner to join our team in Doncaster. This role is crucial in ensuring our store maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and pleasant shopping environment for our customers and a comfortable workplace for our colleagues. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all areas of the store, including sales floors, staff rooms, and restrooms, primarily during early morning hours before the store opens to the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other communal staff areas.
• Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal according to store procedures.
• Dust and wipe down shelves, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the store management.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need reordering.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift light to moderate cleaning equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, particularly within a retail or commercial environment.
• Knowledge of various cleaning techniques and products.
• Awareness of COSHH regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
