Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Burlington, Vermont. This pivotal role involves working closely with our sales team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, conducting compelling product demonstrations, building custom solutions, and articulating the value of Salesforce products to prospective clients. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, strong communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to understand customer business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and present custom solution prototypes and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, addressing complex technical questions and concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver technical responses to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce product releases, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on customer interactions.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars as a technical expert.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions architecture, or similar client-facing technical role, preferably within the SaaS or enterprise software industry.
  • Strong understanding of CRM concepts and cloud-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting engaging and effective technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant).
  • Experience with integration technologies (APIs, web services).
  • Familiarity with various programming languages (e.g., Apex, Java, JavaScript) for custom solutions.
  • Previous experience working with diverse international teams.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
