Job Description
Join the elite ranks of the Transportation Security Administration as a Federal Air Marshal. In this critical role, you will protect U.S. air carriers and the traveling public from acts of terrorism, crime, and other threats through covert operations and law enforcement duties aboard commercial aircraft. This is a demanding position requiring unwavering commitment, courage, and exceptional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Protecting the traveling public and U.S. air carriers from terrorism, crime, and other threats.
- Conducting covert operations aboard commercial aircraft to detect and deter hostile acts.
- Responding to in-flight emergencies and security incidents with appropriate law enforcement action.
- Maintaining proficiency in firearms, defensive tactics, and operational procedures.
- Undergoing extensive training in counter-terrorism tactics, close-quarters combat, and aviation security.
- Completing detailed reports and documentation related to missions and incidents.
- Coordinating with flight crews, airport security, and other law enforcement agencies.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong situational awareness and observation skills
- Excellent judgment under pressure
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Physical fitness and ability to pass a rigorous physical examination
- Willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Background in law enforcement, military, or similar field (minimum 3 years progressive experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field
- Experience with counter-terrorism operations or tactics
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Advanced tactical training or certifications
