Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Foreman to lead and supervise on-site construction projects in the Rotherham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional looking to advance their career in the UK, with visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will manage site personnel, coordinate with project managers, and uphold our commitment to quality and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel on site.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely project completion.
- Monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to construction drawings and specifications.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety procedures on site, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment as required.
- Conduct site inductions and provide on-the-job training to new team members.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress updates.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations (e.g., CDM Regulations).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
- Valid driver's license.
- Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Construction Supervision.
- First Aid certification.
- CSCS Card (Supervisor level).
- Experience with specific construction software (e.g., Procore, Aconex).
- Fluency in additional languages.
