Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Claims Adjuster to join our growing team in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling various types of insurance claims, ensuring fair and timely resolution for our policyholders. Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate the settlement of property, casualty, or motor claims in accordance with company guidelines and legal standards.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, third-party claimants, witnesses, and legal counsel throughout the claims process.
• Gather and analyze information, including police reports, medical records, property damage estimates, and expert opinions.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, document all claim activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Identify and address potential fraud or subrogation opportunities.
• Manage a diverse caseload efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and company product updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and legal departments, to ensure seamless claim resolution.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster or in a similar claims handling role.
• Demonstrable knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and claim processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
• Commitment to ethical practices and strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for claim investigations if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Professional insurance designation (e.g., ACII, Cert CII).
• Experience with claims in the UK or European market.
• Fluency in additional languages.
