Job Description
Join our dynamic production team at Airbus in Hamburg as a Factory & Production Operative. In this critical role, you will be an integral part of assembling the world’s leading aircraft components and systems. We are looking for dedicated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety. This position requires hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work collaboratively in an English-speaking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aircraft components and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Operate various hand and power tools, as well as production machinery.
- Perform quality checks and inspections on manufactured parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the production facility.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Report any defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (at least 1 year).
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for clear communication and understanding of instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a factory setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in a manufacturing-related field.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes or standards.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S).
- Forklift or overhead crane operation certification.
- Basic German language skills are a plus, though not required.
