Job Description

Deloitte Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Virtual Assistant to join our team, specifically supporting our clients in the burgeoning startup sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organized individual to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the success of innovative new businesses. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within Canada while collaborating with a dynamic team and diverse range of startup clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to startup clients, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing travel arrangements (when applicable).
  • Assist with email management and correspondence, drafting communications, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Prepare and format documents, presentations, and reports using various software applications.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, market data, and competitor activities to support strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and organize digital files, databases, and project management tools.
  • Support social media management and content scheduling for clients.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and internal Deloitte teams.
  • Perform other ad-hoc administrative and project-based tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote setting.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with virtual communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
  • Basic knowledge of the startup ecosystem or interest in entrepreneurship.
  • Experience in a customer service or administrative role, even if unpaid or volunteer.
