Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Fairbanks, Alaska. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations, sampling, and data analysis for various environmental projects.
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites, adhering to federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments and regulatory permits for new and existing projects.
  • Provide technical support for environmental compliance programs, including air, water, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project tasks, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Oversee field activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of federal environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA) and Alaska-specific regulations.
  • Proficiency in environmental site assessment and remediation technologies.
  • Experience with data analysis and environmental modeling software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
  • Proven project management support capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field assignments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 1-2 years.
  • Experience working in cold climates or remote locations.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
  • Familiarity with GIS software for environmental data visualization and analysis.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes.
