Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join our innovative team in Fairbanks, Alaska. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, tracking, recognition, image segmentation, and 3D reconstruction.
• Implement and integrate computer vision models into large-scale data platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Evaluate and benchmark the performance of computer vision systems using rigorous metrics.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning research.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming languages.
• Strong understanding of computer vision fundamentals, image processing, and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Familiarity with computer vision libraries like OpenCV, scikit-image.
• Solid grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and statistical methods relevant to computer vision.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale image and video data processing.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with GPU programming (e.g., CUDA).
• Knowledge of geospatial data processing and remote sensing applications.
• Previous experience with real-time computer vision systems or embedded systems.
